This is a great little recipe Izzy adapted from a recipe in our Betty Crocker Cookie Book...
Toffee Cookie Bar Recipe
ingredients
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter soft
1/2 cup margarine soft
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 bag semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Oven 350. Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla, yolk. Mix in flour and salt. Press in 9 x 9 pan. Bake until golden brown, 25 minutes or so. Immediately place chocolate chips on baked crust, let melt, and smooth out. Sprinkle nuts on top and chill until set. Cut into bars and enjoy!
