Traditional Petit Fours
Growing up, my family and I would stop at every bakery we came across. We had several favorite bakeries we would go to often to satisfy our sweet tooth.
One of my favorite bakeries was in Harmarville; Periwinkles Bakery, which is long gone, but not forgotten. I would always get the same thing... a traditional petit four. The white glaze covered the delicate white cake, with butter cream filling and a butter cream rose on top. ~Soooooooo good!
I have recently recreated these delicious little cakes to satisfy my sweet tooth. ~Heaven!
An old Reymer Brothers Candy brochure stated this...
"A delicate and necessary factor to the comfort of mankind is the satisfying of the cravings of the sweet tooth."
~Agreed! ;)
Sweetly,
Samantha
