No Yeast Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Homemade
No Yeast Cinnamon Rolls

Recipe:
   Cream together
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. shortening (you can use 3 tbsp. just butter if you like)
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
   Add
3/4 cup milk
2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
Mix well for dough, let sit 10-20 minutes covered.

Filling:
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter (softened)
3 tbsp. cinnamon

Glaze:
1/3 cup butter (melt in sauce pan)
2 cups powdered sugar (add to butter and mix well)
up to 3 tbsp. water(add and mix until desired consistency)
*You can make the icing thin or thick with different amounts of water.  Made it too thin?  Add more powered sugar.  :)

Directions:
*Roll out dough to a large rectangle, 1/4 inch thick.
*Spread filling over entire surface of dough.
*Roll it up!
*Cut 1 1/2 or 1 inch slices.
*Place in well greased pan.
*Add chopped nuts like pecans, walnuts, or almonds.
*If desired, add a little egg wash(egg white & water) to the tops of rolls before cooking.
*Bake 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.  Check for golden (slightly brown on bottoms)
*Add icing and enjoy.  Good cool or warm!
